Terms & Conditions
- Introduction
- Dress Hire Period
- Wedding Dresses are usually collected 1-2 days before the wedding and returned 2-3 days after the wedding—unless special arrangements are made.
- Late returns will incur a late fee for each additional day and deducted from the refundable deposit.
- Any requests for an extension to the hire period must be submitted at least 3-5 days before the scheduled return date and are subject to availability.
- Security Deposit
- Payment Terms
- The security deposit will be refunded once the dress is returned in satisfactory condition.
- Visa, MasterCard, (credit or debit cards)
- Bank transfer (EFT) into Boutik V Bridal’s account — details provided upon request
- EFT payments will only be processed once proof of payment is received.
- All card payments are securely handled via PayGate (Pty) Ltd, the approved payment gateway for South African acquiring banks. PayGate employs Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) encryption, and no card details are stored on our website. Customers may visit PayGate’s site to view their security certificate and policy. www.boutikvbridal.co.za
- Customer information is kept completely separate from card data, which is entered through PayGate’s secure platform.
- Dress Condition
- All Wedding dresses are thoroughly cleaned and inspected before hire.
- The Customer is responsible for returning the dress in the same condition as it was received.
- The dress must be kept away from smoke, pets, and excessive wear.
- Any damage, stains, or alterations to the dress must be reported immediately to the Company.
- You agree to handle the dress with the utmost care and attention to preserve its condition.
- You will not alter, modify, or make any changes to the clothing, whether temporary or permanent, without obtaining prior written consent from us.
- The wedding dress must be returned at the end of the rental period in the same condition as it was at the time of rental.
- You are responsible for inspecting the clothing upon receipt and must immediately notify us in writing of any damage, defects, or signs of wear and tear. If such issues are reported, we will acknowledge them. As long as the wedding dress is returned in the same condition as when rented, you will not be held liable for any pre-existing damage.
- Alterations
- Customers are not permitted to alter the dress in any way without prior written approval from BoutikVBridal.
- Any unauthorized alterations will result in a charge for repair or replacement.
- All alterations are expertly done and fully reversible to maintain the quality of the dress.
- Hemming to the right length
- Minor waist, bust, or hip adjustments
- Strap shortening or stabilizing.
- Dress Fitting
- The first fitting for hired gowns will be scheduled approximately 8 weeks before the wedding. Additional fittings typically at 4–6 weeks before the event to ensure a perfect fit.
- Cancellations
- A cancellation fee of 60% will be applicable if for any reason the client chooses to cancel the transaction
(No Exceptions), should the wedding be cancelled or occasion for which the wedding dress / items were Hired. Deposit is not refundable if for any reason the client changes his mind after signing the purchase order.
Cancelling an order will incur a reasonable cancellation fee along with an administrative or handling fee, which may be equal to or exceed 60% of the deposit due to the nature of the services provided.Cancellations after the first alterations fitting will forfeit a fee of 100% of the Hiring price plus the cost of alterations.We do not offer exchanges or refunds on bridal accessories, including veils, Jewelry, and headpieces. No exchanges are accepted for custom designs, special orders or sale items.
- Liability
- The Customer is fully responsible for the dress while it is in their possession.
- Boutik V Bridal is not liable for any personal injury, damage, or loss that occurs as a result of the Customer’s use of the dress.
- The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the dress is worn appropriately and safely.
- Loss or Theft
- In the event of loss or theft of the dress, the Customer will be required to pay the full retail value of the dress.

- Cleaning and Care
- Boutik V Bridal will handle professional cleaning of the dress after it is returned.
- Customers should ensure that the dress is returned in a clean condition, free from dirt, food, drink, or excessive makeup marks.
- Dress Collection
- Dresses may be collected from Boutik V Bridal at the agreed-upon date and time.
- The Customer is responsible for returning the dress on or before the specified return date. Late returns will incur additional charges as outlined in our late-fee policy
- Indemnity
- The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Boutik V Bridal harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of the Customer’s use of the dress during the hire period.
- Governing Law
- This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Boutik V Bridal chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
